Look, this is a real nice idea for your very own homemade Advent Calendar! And so easy, too. An Advent Calendar traditionally kicks off at december 1st, but for us Dutchies that might be a little early, since we have a big thing going on at december 5th: Sinterklaas!
So our tip: make an Advent Calendar that starts at december 6th, counting down till december 24th. With this idea, that I spotted at Better Homes and Gardens, here, you can do it in a very stylish yet simple way. Just wrap up a bunch of small gifts in this Starry Winter Wrapping Paper and put a Starry Winter Gift Tag on each one of them. Write the numbers of the days on the tags and arrange all of that nicely on an etagere or a cute fruitbowl. Or hang them in the Christmas Tree!
PS: The gifts don’t need to be fancy at all. Just you know, cute candy or a perfect apple wrapped up nicely in a handkerchief, maybe a pair of the warmest socks you can find or some nice ornaments for the tree. Or consider buying a kerststalletje and wrap up every figure separetely!
