A little mermaid, a teddybear and a wooden leg made my day…

Honestly, getting up at 05.20 doesn’t feel good at 05.20 (nor at 05.21, 05.22 or even at 05.23) but it certainly feels good at 06.20, when I have replied to all of my emails, enjoyed a hot cup of tea and still have 10 minutes left before the family wakes up.

I used these 10 minutes to check up on all the lovely blogs I’m following, and then it happened: I found the great blog called ‘It made my day’ and yes, it totally made my day!

It’s filled with moments of WIN: small little wonderful things that happen in regular everyday lives but which make your day, if you give it some attention. Funny things a kid said, a stranger handing you a bunch of flowers, a nice encounter in the subway, that friendly waitress that gives you 2 extra cookies with your coffee, and so on.

I really like this one:

Today a little girl on the train asked her mother if I was Ariel from The Little Mermaid. IMMD!

and this one:

We had my best friend and her family over for dinner the other night. Her 4 year old daughter felt like exploring the house and later that night, I found a teddy bear carefully tucked into my side of the bed. I asked her about it the next day and she said she put it there “just in case I had a bad dream.” IMMDx2

and of course this one:

My little cousin was in the store with my aunt and other cousin. They are standing in line to check out. A man with a wooden leg was in front of them. My little cousin goes up to him and asks “Are you a robot?” The man looks at him seriously “Why yes, yes I am.” IMMD!

Want to add your own IMMD situations? Please do so and make somebody elses day with it!
