I’m a HUGE fan of Mijnes! For those of you who have never heard of Mijnes (shame on you!): Mijnes is a great little label that designs the most fantastic items in the most vibrant colours of felt, often combined with whimsical prints, vintage fabrics and beautiful embroidery. Apart from loving Mijnes products, I’m also a fan of the lady behind Mijnes: Mirjam. She’s a friend of mine (and was actually with me in the early days of Homemade Happiness, when we shared ideas, tea and tompoucen when I just had baby Jet) AND she is the perfect example of creative WAHMing: no matter how busy her life is (combining two kids with running her own company), ideas just keep on popping up in her head and we spent many an hour in the playground, surrounded by yelling kids on swings, discussing the ins and outs of being WAHMs-with-two-kids-and-fulltime-working-hubbies. We used to be neighbours and she’s actually one of the most missed things (well, persons) in my life since I left our suburb a couple of months ago (but don’t tell her that, she’s from Friesland, where the people are very down-to-earth ;-))
