A couple of years ago I was way over my head into buttons. I have a book which describes 101 fun games to play with buttons and I so liked it, that I bought like 312 secondhand buttons, most of them pretty boring gray and black, but some of them real nice too! Then I lost the book somehow, so I put the buttons in a box, which I hid under the bed, and after that I never looked at it again. But now they somehow, magically, are sitting in Lena’s craft cabinet. And, like her mom, she loooooves buttons. To count, to run around with, to trade for something else, to stick to her forehead and to feed to her baby sister Jet (at which point a demand back all the buttons and put them all safely back into the box).
Anyhow… I was really happy to find this blog called Made by Joel. He’s a dad who blogs about the toys and crafts he makes an does with his kids. And when one day he got a box of vintage buttons, he immediately made these nice drawings, as a sort of puzzle, to finish. Really like it! Lazy Busy as I am, I immediately went looking for the (free!) printable, but alas, no such luck.
So this saturday, I will sit down a the table and draw a lot of cute animals and cars and hot air balloons and stuff like that.  Lena will be really happy whenI tell her she can a. get the box of buttons out and b. pick the loveliest of them and glue them to a lion!
— like it? Go check Joels blog, here, for more really nice crafts! —
